SELECT UPGRADE OPTION

Refer to your glovebox sticker to determine which upgrade you need. Your glove box sticker will notate a 3-digit code: IOB (7-inch radio display), IO5 (8-inch radio display) or IO6 (8-inch radio display w/ nav). 

IOB Camera Upgrade - You will will receive our 100% factory OEM GM® tailgate handle / camera with embedded steerable/dynamic parking gridlines along with the OBD Genie backup camera programmer. The programmer will need to be created specifically for your vehicle so be sure to list your truck's 17-digit VIN upon checkout. ** The installation video link below is now outdated, you no longer need to replace your radio module! An OBD Genie programmer which simply plugs into your OBD II port (under your steering column) for 30 seconds will be included to program your existing radio module for backup camera! **

INSTALLATION

Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. Whether your truck is equipped with the I0B or the I05 / I06 option code Infotainment system, the installation process is fully plug & play! Simply swap out your factory installed tailgate handle with the included tailgate handle featuring an embedded camera, plug the camera connector into the existing location, then plug the OBD Genie programmer into the OBDII port until the LED light on the programmer illuminates green. That's it!

THINGS TO KNOW

• If you are un-sure about compatibility, simply enter your vehicle's 17-digit upon checkout and we'll double check your order prior to shipping.
• Those who have a locking tailgate handle be sure to swap the locking mechanism from the original handle to the replacement. In this case, when unplugging the original handle wiring you will plug your replacement wiring into the same location. See below.
