This 100% factory OEM Jeep® factory OEM backup camera kit has been brought to you exclusively by Infotainment.com to allow for a completely DIY plug & play installation of a rear view camera to your factory radio display. Please ensure your Jeep is pre-wired for backup camera prior to purchasing this upgrade. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and some 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee are no longer compatible.

INSTALLATION

Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Step 1 - Remove the lift gate tail lamp units. Remove the pinch sensors from both sides of the lift gate. Remove the outer push pin fasteners (2) on both sides of the lift gate. Disconnect the wire harness connector (3). Remove the fasteners (1) from he back of the lamp bar.

Step 2 - Using pliers, squeeze the retaining clip at the top-center of the lamp bar (2) and release it from the lift gate (1). Remove the wire harness grommet from the lift gate and remove the lamp bar. Proceed to install the replacement lamp bar in the reverse order.

Step 3 - Insert the included OBD Genie programmer into your vehicle's OBDII port (under your steering column) with the vehicle in the ON position. You will see a series of lights. Once the green light is illuminated and the factory radio display resets remove the programmer from the OBDII port. Stow it away, the programming is complete!

THINGS TO KNOW

• Use our VIN Decoder tool to know exactly what color your Grand Cherokee is. Enter your 17-digit VIN in the "Window Sticker" section and click "Generate PDF." You'll see the exterior color on the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
• Some 2015 model year Grand Cherokees are not fully pre-wired for this kit. In those cases, CLICK HERE for alternative solutions.
• If your Grand Cherokee's exterior body color is not listed above you may have to order the part from your local Jeep dealer.
