INTRODUCTION

This kit provides the opportunity for those who have factory installed manual temperature controls to take advantage of automatic temperature control when upgrading to the 8.4-inch UAV or 12-inch UAX Infotainment systems! Customers will have the opportunity to set the desired temperature in their vehicle and the HVAC system will maintain that temperature automatically.

*Those who have automatic temperature control capability currently in their truck will not need this kit as they will work plug & play with all of our Infotainment upgrades*

INSTALLATION

Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

THINGS TO KNOW

This upgrade will only provide driver-side or single-zone climate setting capability. At this time it is not possible to add passenger-side or dual-zone temperature settings so it is recommended that you select "Sync" within the climate section.
In some 2019 and 2020 model years the HVAC may on occasion blow hot air when the desired temperature is set to 72 degrees or higher. To adjust the temperature to cool the driver must adjust the setting to "LO" first then back to their desired temperature. Ram knows about this issue so they released a TSB 24-001-20.
