INSTALLATION

Installation of this product would be rated a 3 out of 5. A rating of 1 being extremely easy and a rating of 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

Type 1 - In this scenario, you already have a factory installed 8.4-inch radio in your truck. Follow the video listed below.

Type 2 - In this scenario, you have the smaller factory installed radio in your Ram 1500 truck. Follow our Ram 1500 7SP Installation Video to install the UConnect UAQ radio and replacement radio dash bezel. Follow the video listed below for the replacement hub installation, scroll to 5:58.

Type 3 - In this scenario, you have the smaller factory installed radio in your Ram 2500-5500 Heavy Duty truck. **UPDATE: 2016+ Ram trucks with the center console should remove the screw below the cubby liner. Please do not pry the chrome trim ring as that is intended for 2013-2015 trucks only**

THINGS TO KNOW

• If your truck is a 2013-2014 and currently features heated seats, ventilated seats, and/or heated steering wheel, you will need an extra module to retain those features. See our 4C Retrofit Interface.
• Customers who are currently subscribed to the paid subscription of UConnect Access® will forfeit this feature by upgrading to the new UConnect 4 system (which now uses Sirius Guardian®). At this time, it is extremely rare that Sirius Guardian will allow for a service retrofit.
