When General Motors decided to start manufacturing vehicles that utilized the Engine Start-Stop (ESS) feature, they chose not to include a way to permanently disable the auto start-stop. So if you want to drive without the engine stopping at every stoplight, you are forced to manually push the auto start-stop button to disable this feature, every time you start your vehicle. Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.

THINGS TO KNOW

Defects are extremely rare. Most "issues" are a misunderstanding of how the device works. The Autostop Eliminator functions to restore the last state. Assuming OFF is your preference, you may need to manually turn auto start-stop OFF once. After that, it'll stay OFF.
